Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead KCACTF Commendation for Excellence in Costume Design

Director: Callie Hisek

Set Design: Brock Burton

Light Design: Angelo O'Dienero

This play is two sides of the same coin and full of duality. The characters are all from the same world, one that is defined both by the Renaissance and 2018, one that is both hard and soft, both rough and smooth. Silhouettes, especially from the characters in Hamlet, have the appearance of the Renaissance but be of modern fabrics and have a modern twist. The players, musicians, and pirates have more modern influences in their silhouettes but wear fabrics that are more characteristic of the peasant class of the Renaissance.
